Sagittarius Horoscope for Sunday, January 4, 2015

Monday, January 5, 2015 - Working in close proximity to someone may create annoying tension today. Paradoxically, it's not that you want to work alone; it's just that you prefer to reserve the right to withdraw on a moment's notice when you've had enough of other people's nonsense. Focusing on the most practical aspects of the job at hand will help you keep things in perspective if you start to lose patience. Setting clear priorities enables you to overcome your testy attitude and makes it a breeze to cooperate with your coworkers.

70 Ways to Eat for Muscle

2. DON'T OVERDOSE ON PROTEIN Some bodybuilders develop a mentality that if some is good, then excessive amounts are better. If you're eating more than 2 g of protein per pound of bodyweight each day, then you're probably consuming more protein than your body can use for muscle building. Excess protein will simply be broken down and burned as energy (or stored as bodyfat). Protein is difficult for your body to break down because it's a complex molecule, so it's an inefficient source of energy. Keep protein consumption high, but don't go overboard. Rely on other good bodybuilding foods, including carbs, to keep weight up during growth phases and watch the mirror for signs of excess.

Top 4 Tri Moves for a Bigger Bench

Grab the EZ Curl bar and a flat bench. Put your weight on the bar and then put a band around one end, run the band underneath the bench and connect to the other side of the bar. Make sure you start out with a skinny band, these are tougher than they look! Keep your elbows tucked in and lower the bar to forehead level and back up to locked arms. Make sure your elbows don’t flare out and try to keep your humerus angle constant throughout the lift. Start out by doing 3 sets of 12 repetitions.

Three 15-Minute Muscle-Building Workouts

Choose a weight that’s roughly your 20 rep max and start with sets of ten. This may seem easy, but remember that you’re doing this for 15 minutes with as little rest as possible so you’ll definitely feel the lactic acid building. When you’re done one set, move right into the exercise for the opposing body part, and continue in this manner until the time is up. The key is to count the total reps done within that time frame and then increase it the next week. In this manner you’re constantly improving, which is the key to building muscle .

31
Build Muscle With Tempo Training

So, how does this help your training? Because time under tension (TUT) helps to dictate training stimulus. TUT is the amount of time your body, or a specific muscle or group of muscles, is under load. This means that if a hypertrophy protocol is 8 to 12 reps, so is 40 to 70 seconds of TUT. So, if on a bench press you normally drop the weight pretty quickly and push it back up quickly then you could look at that as a 1010 tempo or two seconds for each repetition. Two seconds multiplied by 12 reps is 24 seconds of TUT. This possibly limits your maximal hypertrophy gains.

TAKEAWAY: Magnesium makes your brain work better and improves memory! 3.    Raise Testosterone Levels and Build Muscle Magnesium is necessary for energy metabolism and physical performance and new research shows that taking it increases testosterone levels. A 2011 study tested a group of sedentary men who received 10 mg of magnesium per kilogram of body weight a day (Group 1), a group of male tae kwon do athletes taking the same magnesium protocol daily (Group 2), and a group of tae kwon do athletes who did not take magnesium (Group 3). Group 2 had the greatest increases in testosterone levels after tae kwon do practice, followed by Group 3, while Group 1 had the lowest levels (no practice or exercise), indicating that magnesium supplementation raises testosterone levels when combined with exercise. This suggests that adequate magnesium in the body not only increase testosterone when training but also has a performance-enhancing effect.

Weider Principle #21: Forced Reps

“WANTED: spotter. REQUIREMENTS: reliability, compatibility, encouraging disposition. Must know how to take away just enough on forced reps.” Bodybuilding may be the most individualistic of all sports, but sometimes you can benefit from pairing up. Whether you work out with a training partner or simply ask for a spotter on occasion, one of the most valuable assets a “teammate” provides is the ability to extend your sets beyond failure by assisting on forced reps. This month we examine the one Weider Principle you can’t do alone. A little help from a spotter can keep sets going and your muscles growing.

How Your Tech Products Put You In Pain

While it can be hard to comprehend that the same devices that allow us to book doctors appointments and track our diets can have unhealthy consequences, it’s true. Not because the devices are “bad” for us, but because of the extended time we spend using them. On average, Americans log 2 hours and 31 minutes on a their smartphones and 43 minutes on their tablets daily, according to a Kleiner Perkins Internet analyst’s 2014 presentation on Internet trends. Plus, there are plenty of people who spend an 8-hour work day logged into a laptop. After a while, hours of emailing, texting, and double-tapping can lead to pain and cramping in the fingers, wrist, back, and shoulders.

The Fit Five: Can't See My Abs

“Getting lean is a great first step to getting abdominal definition. Once lean, getting the abs to “pop” comes from increased abdominal hypertrophy. As noted previously, this involves taking advantage of the mechanisms of hypertrophy, which include tension, damage, and metabolic stress. The load of the high-tension exercises must be great enough to cause failure at around 8-12 reps. For the exercises that involve metabolic stress, higher-rep sets (up to 20) can be performed.”
