Fighter Diet Back Attack & Audrey
It is true that I have, from a young age, entered a cycle of injuries that lead me to poor movement patterns and unstable, misaligned kinetic chain. I have broken my right hip twice, sprained my right rib cage, broken my right hand, had my bottom jaw dislocated to the right and consequently a scoliosis in my spine.

9 Machines You Should Never Use
Exercise machines were invented to provide a safe alternative to free weights, but sometimes they’re anything but. They can put your body into unnatural positions and take your joints through dangerous ranges of motion. Over time, this can lead to injuries. Avoid the following machines at all costs, and use the alternative exercises we provide instead for safer, more effective training.

Top 10 Moves for Fast Pec Growth
This article has a very simple purpose - to discuss my favorite exercises for building a massive, thick, gnarly, complete chest . The Cardio Fat Loss Plan - Born Fitness
Even worse? Oftentimes those people doing cardio to lose fat are also on a low-calorie, low-carb diet. When this happens, you’re body doesn’t have much stored glycogen (the carbs you store in your muscles) so your body goes searching for other sources of energy. One of those energizers? Protein. And when that happens, you might start tapping into your muscle stores, which isn’t exactly what you want to do on a fat loss plan. Just to prove the point, in the same study by Wilson et al, people who did slow steady state cardio lost more muscle than those who performed the high intensity intervals.

Real Deal Workouts
For six straight years from 2000 to 2005, he fended off all challengers—except one. For him, it was torturous. But, with time, we can place his achievement in perspective. Competitive bodybuilding is, first and foremost, about victories, but judging panels rank entrants from best to worst, and the Arnold trails only the Olympia for lineup quality. So let’s give only congratulations to Cormier and no condolences. A half-dozen consecutive runner-up finishes in bodybuilding’s No. 2 contest is a string of consistent excellence worthy of celebration. To honor it, we present the six training tenets that made Chris Cormier almost but not quite unbeatable for six straight Arnold Classics.
Steve Weatherford is the NFL's Fittest Man
It’s important to remember, of course, that it doesn’t behoove skill position players (wide receivers, running backs, quarterbacks, etc.) to get ripped to the bone like Weatherford; constant contact demands a little more padding, ie, bodyfat. Neverthless, the “NFL’s fittest” distinction, at least in the eyes of this magazine, belongs to Weatherford. For a league filled with physical specimens, it’s a landmark achievement, regardless of the circumstance. No, Weatherford is not the biggest guy in the league and he might not be the strongest or fastest (although his weight room numbers and sub-4.5-second 40-yard dash time could make him competitive with most defensive backs), but in terms of possessing the most enviable—and for so many guys elusive—body, Weatherford is tops. In the fitness industry he is known more for his physique at this point than his exploits on the field. His 110,000-plus Twitter followers continually ask him training and nutrition questions. These spike every “Weatherford Wednesday,” when he dedicates time to answering nearly every question.
Easy Gains for the Hardgainer
But the task is far from easy. The hardgainer will typically have a poor appetite and be naturally “weaker” in regard to muscle strength. This means diligent, planned eating will take priority and daily appointments with heavy iron will need to be habitual. As the hardgainer slowly but surely gets meals down and masters the mechanics of old-school Olympic lifts, his/ her muscle mass and muscle strength will inevitably increase.
3 Key Truths In Training You Must Accept - Zach Even-Esh
These videos are great! I am about to unleash these 3 keys onto my clients and set a code and standard within my studio. If a client can’t/won’t meet these standards then they are out. After watching your workout with the Lehigh boys I was just wondering how you run your group sessions? Is it just a simple rotation system of you rest whilst your partner lifts or do you have a set rest time frame?
Jay Cutler's Streak
It had been so long we’d forgotten what it was like. He’d forgotten, too. Thirteen years is an eternity in bodybuilding, but that’s the time that passed between Jay Cutler’s eighth-place finish at the 2000 Mr. Olympia, and his sixth-place finish, at the same contest last year. In between, there were 25 consecutive contests (including 10 Olympias) over 11 years in which he either won or placed second. The only three men who bested him during that run were current or future Mr. O’s.
There are hundreds of possible issues that could reduce the effects of your training program. You’ve likely run the gamut, from feeling under the weather to a specific workout-limiting injury to a busy schedule, that’s kept you out of the gym. Unfortunately, there aren’t any miracle pills or magic remedies for those kinds of issues. But if you’re experiencing setbacks from training-related issues, the miracle cure is sitting right in front of you. Most often, we’ve either pushed too hard or not hard enough. At times we’ve dropped of training and yet other times we just simply failed to do something that we should have. It’s time to break your bad, and put some good back in to your program.

Take a Break...or Not?
How much time is OK to take of from the gym without losing muscle and strength?
The Tiny Gym Workout
With the popularity of barbell training, it’s easy to forget that you can get strong and lean without one. As a matter of fact, no squat racks, barbells or bumper plates are needed to get a great workout. A tiny apartment, office, hotel room or equipment-lacking gym combined with some MacGyver-style programming can yield serious muscle growth.
Make the Best Meatballs You'll Ever Eat
Sorry, Mom. These are the best meatballs I’ve ever had. Sure, all balls of meat are delicious by definition. But these meatballs contain four different kinds of meat. And homemade breadcrumbs. And a kind of preserved Italian chile that I’d never heard of but will now use to add a smoky-sweet flavor to everything but my morning coffee. These meatballs are juicy and tender and somehow fluffy, without falling apart. Even the accompanying sauce is otherworldly. The muscled-up marinara uses San Marzano tomatoes, famous for their bright, fruity flavor, and reserved meatball juices for extra awesomeness. If you’re going to tackle this recipe, here’s what you need to know: It takes a lot of love (and a few hours in the kitchen) to make a life-changing meatball. Start early. Chop with a buddy if possible to speed things up. Once everything is diced and minced, it might look like a lot of stuff to mix with your 1.5 pounds of meat. Trust the recipe. But don’t let all that deter you. There are only so many times in life you get to combine this many kinds of meat without ending up with some atrocity like a turducken.
Women's Fitness: 4 Reasons The Word ''Toned'' Needs To Die - Bodybuilding.com
I completely agree with your comment. As I have progressed through my fitness goals this is has been a huge issue for me. Its almost like your damned if you do and damned if you don't. Women are ridiculed for being overweight and then when they are on the other side of the spectrum they are called 'gross' or 'manly'. Honestly I feel that people are more accepting to someone who is overweight than someone who is fit. Why would they call them sexy and curvy but fit women are repulsive? Cassie should write an article about that ;)
For many bodybuilders, their passion for lifting weights began in high school. Whether it was getting strong for football or just wanting to put more size on a teenage frame, it was the start of a lifelong journey. But not many teenagers have the desire or discipline to actually compete at that age. Between school, family obligations, and maybe even a part-time job, fnding the time to work out, do cardio, and cook clean food generally dissuades most from even thinking about it. But Cody Montgomery has done all that for the past several years, winning the NPC Teen Nationals twice. Now a freshman at the University of Texas at San Antonio, Montgomery is preparing once again for the Teen Nationals, hoping to sweep both the Teen—which would make him an unprecedented three-time champ—and the Collegiate overall trophies.
8 Exercise Swaps for Common Injuries
2. Stability Ball Lying Leg Curl Lie on floor with heels on top of a stability ball and legs extended. Raise your hips off the ground, trying to keep your hips raised up during the entire exercise. Flex knees and pull the ball as close to your glutes as possible. Hold the ball here for 2-3 seconds. As you get stronger, you can progress to a one leg lying leg curl. This will strengthen your hamstrings, while avoiding impact on your knees.
Pre-Workout Supplement Guide
Pre-workout supplements are more popular today than they ever were. That’s because they’re formulated with ingredients that work together to ramp up your energy and endurance, increase strength, crank up muscle growth, and burn off body fat. The following pages break down the common pre-workout nutrients and list the industry’s top products:
Herbalife shakes not responsible for Mexican death, say doctors
Some Mexican publications linked the death of Lorena Peralta Baltazar, a 28 year old Mexican woman, to overconsumption of Herbalife products they reported she had become addicted to. The reports alleged that the family and local authorities said lead had been found in her blood, pointing the finger at the weight loss products she was said to consume regularly as the source of lead.
Hungry People Make Better Life Decisions
The empty stomach group took fewer risks and listened to their rumbling gut to make decisions that would benefit them more in the long term. This challenges the previous belief that hungry individuals would say, rather just stuff a cookie in their face than worry about their financial future.
