If you aren't going to train hard, and your goal is fat loss, then you don't need "fast fuel" that day. Note that if your goal is to build maximum size, not get lean, I recommend having carbs on off days. But when trying to get lean this is a very simple approach. You don't even need to necessarily count calories, just don't eat any carbs.

It's important to keep tension on the working muscles and increase the time under tension for each and every set. One advanced method to achieve this is called continuous tension sets, which is a technique that defies the time-honored tradition of locking out every rep. Just stop right before the weights are locked out at the top and proceed directly into the next rep.

Fourth, the rotational nature of the rope produces both converging and diverging hand positions at different phases of the movement. For instance, during the concentric phase, there's a natural spreading of the hands (towards the sides of the torso) creating a greater squeeze in the upper back in the fully contracted position. In contrast, the eccentric or negative phase pulls the handles closer together in a converging fashion creating additional elongation and stretching of the lats.

The kneeling pulldown will hit your back in a different way than the standard (not-from-the-floor) pulldown, but consider it supplemental rather than a priority. You'll probably want to do them at the end of your workout because you can't really load them quite as heavily as you might need to. There are two reasons for this:

You need to unrack the bar, then "set it" in the same exact position in which you want to finish. This should be directly above where you lower the bar. If you bench to your lower pecs, then the bar should start above the lower pecs. This will create a straight line both on the eccentric and concentric. Remember, the shortest distance between two points is a straight line.

The researchers noticed that the high fat group and the fat/sugar combo group had the exact same hormone response from the diets (i.e. leptin, a hunger hormone, had the same response). This caused the researchers to look for other hormones or nerve signals that may have caused this. Tip: 4 Keto Diet Fails - Biotest

Another common error, especially among lifters, is eating too much protein while trying to do a "keto" diet. In this case, it's a mistake. See, protein can be turned into glucose by the liver (gluconeogenesis). If you ingest too much, you'll simply use that protein for fuel by turning it into glucose, and keto adaptation will be a lot harder.

10 At-home Abs Workouts to Get Six-pack Abs

Directions: Begin each of these workouts with a five-minute warmup, or go through the moves after you’ve done your usual cardio or strength training when you’re already warm. Each should also begin with 20 reps of what Fitzgerald calls “transverse pullbacks”—where you pull your navel toward your spine, as if bracing yourself against a sucker punch—as a way to activate the muscles for the work you’re about to ask of them. You’ll also need some dumbbells for some of these moves.
