Anyway, I’ve been down with the four hour work week, it’s a contemporary solution to contemporary baloney that keeps us undermining our lives and capabilities, and I feel is a wonderful supplement to Think and Grow Rich. Of course it is not without reason that I have been compelled to write a post for the first time here and now on the blog. I want to give it up to Tim for all the insight and efficient pathways to creating my plan to freedom, and without question I feel in my being our paths will cross. Ironically I have felt this way with My gratitude behind all of the learned body maintainence I’ve learned from Kelly Starrett’s teachings, and if anyone has not yet realized their value, you will feel every ounce of it by putting it to practice. As an athlete, entrepreneur, inventor, musician, and limitless person, I was most excited once I saw Tim teaming up with Kelly in the 4 Hour Body and other podcasts. It was a meeting of minds I had not anticipated, and I have to render the gratitude I have for them. I am completely down with the standing desk elementary school that they are working to achieve, and once I get my wheels rollin’, I don’t see why I wouldnt donate the whole amount. I was so pumped up by just learning about posture that I started standing at my normal desk, propped my keyboard up like a foot with cardboard boxes, tilted my monitor up, and turned enough heads, got laughed at enough, that my company owner came up to me asking what the deal was. I told him I refused to sit any longer, and he then bought me a standing desk. It’s funny how the drive I got to be my best self was rewarded and overhauled by my persistence in knowing what I truly wanted. And I truly want this for all people, including the kids. Habits make us or break us, and I don’t enjoy the evolutionary picture you can google where modern man is sitting in front of a computer. I am driven to give this publicity because my philosophy on a grand scale is that if I can save people even one hour a year, and have it be so wide spread, then I can save people billions of hours, and I will work toward that goal to receive a humble return from that fact. I admire Tim for all the work he has put in, saving my life countless hours, and hopefully a countless amount of people’s lives have felt that too. Happy Birthday!

For your goals, here’s a program of six giant sets arranged in a three-day split. I recommend you train three days in a row, take one or two days’ rest, and then repeat this sequence until you have performed all the workouts four or five times each. The tempo for every exercise except where noted is 4010 (4 seconds eccentric, no rest, 10 seconds concentric). The first day of the program focuses on arms, the second day on legs, and the third day on chest and back.

Result: The five-setters earned significantly more muscle mass than the other two groups, and upped their five-rep max more as well, The Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research reports. The findings back the “five sets/five reps” model that trainer Don Saladino, co-owner of NYC’s Drive495 gym, uses for big lifts like the bench press and squat. But for unilateral movements like side lunges and one-legged squats, do just two to three sets, to promote athleticism, he says: “You aren’t doing it to build muscle mass.”

If Little Johnny doesn’t get to be a star you complain till the coach gets fired. Who cares that this guy has 3 state titles and is one of the best coaches in the state? As long as Little Johnny gets his varsity letter that’s all that matters. And the worst part is these parents don’t even have the balls to complain face to face like a man. They can just issue anonymous complaints and get a coach fired. It’s rewarding people for being cowards. Firing people with no explanation or chance to defend themselves. 1. Skipping Breakfast
Wake up. Shower. Shave. Get dressed. If you’re lucky, you get to grab some coffee before sprinting to your car and diving headlong into your morning commute. But if you haven’t eaten, you won’t be taking a trip to Gainsville. For one, studies have shown that those who skip breakfast are much more likely to overeat later in the day. Also, for every minute you run on empty after waking up, your body is cannibalizing your muscles for energy, which it needs to fuel basic activities, and it’ll take it from somewhere, even your muscles.

The Ultimate Lat Workout for a Bigger Back
This is perhaps the most prevalent problem in faulty back training and the number one reason, in my opinion, that spectacular back development is so rare. Usually one or all of the following mistakes are made by most when training back...1) Too much weight is used! Stop swinging and jerking and control the exercise throughout the entire ROM, 2) Failure to “set the body” correctly during the movement! Keep your chest out, shoulders back, and a slight arch in your lower back...and you must keep this position throughout the movement, 3) Not using a thumbless grip! By bringing your thumb to the same side of the bar as the rest of your fingers you will effectively take some of the forearm flexors and biceps out of each lat exercise. Reinforce your grip with lifting straps if you must.

The FDA Bans Trans Fat
The Grocery Manufacturers Association is pleased about the news, "The FDA acted in a manner that addresses FDA's concerns and minimizes unnecessary disruptions to commerce." However, the FDA is giving food companies one way to use trans fat in small amounts -- ultimatelly filing a petition for its specific use in a product. Trans fat is usually added to products to improve taste and allow products to keep a longer shelf life. The Center for Science in the Public Interest says that trans fat is the leading cause for 50,000 fatal heart attacks each year.

At the end of eight weeks, significant post-training differences existed in strength, muscle mass, and subcutaneous fat, with the long-range group exhibiting greater adaptations than the short-range group. Detraining resulted in significant deteriorations in all muscle parameters in both groups, with the short-range group experiencing a more rapid relative loss of post-exercise increases in strength than that of the long-range group. Greater morphological and architectural resistance training adaptations in the long-range (owing to higher mechanical stress) resulted in a more significant increase in strength compared with that of the short-range.
