Sagittarius Horoscope for Friday, May 27, 2016

Friday, May 27, 2016 - You might feel as if circumstances are out of control and your attempts to manage them are restraining your forward progress. Naturally, you don't like covering old ground again; your imperative is to move full speed ahead. However, something very special awaits your discovery if you have enough courage to investigate the shadows that trail along behind you. Exploring buried emotions may temporarily derail your momentum but ignoring them could be catastrophic. The greatest treasures are those invisible to the eye but felt by the heart.

28 Days to Six-Pack Abs Workout Program

First up is the diet. This will become your most important component because it takes the most discipline, and if you’re not getting rid of the fat and water, then your abs are going to seem more like a two-pack. With the diet, don’t drastically cut carbs, instead burn them. Keep carbs constant until your abs are truly ready to be seen, then a quick cut will rip out the final drops of water. This is the biggest mistake I’ve seen, dropping carbs too fast and too much, which reduces energy and forces “skinny fat” syndrome instead of good fat burning. Increase your protein to 50-60 additional grams per day and amino acid intake to 10-20 grams per day of supplementation; do this while increasing your veggie intake, so that you can get your calorie count where it needs to be to shed the excess poundage. To reduce excess water weight, add natural diuretic-based products that have dandelion and green tea extract and uva ursi and cranberry. Also, make sure to hit a fat burner that cooperates with your gut, and keep tabs on your indulgences. When you’re out, resist the urge to consume heavy or sugary drinks and fatty foods.

5 Things to Never Say on a First Date

If you've recently gotten out of a longtime relationship, you'll probably find yourself starting conversations (no matter who you're talking to) with "Christie and I used to always..." or "I remember when Tiffany...". That has to stop—immediately. For starters, a potential love interest doesn't want your former love interest brought up in conversations right off the bat. This is about the two of you. And if you can't stop talking about your ex, it's obvious the feelings are still there.

10 Exercises to Develop the Best Pecs in the Gym

"If you currently work out 3 days a week, you can hit your chest every workout," Perry says. "The goal," he adds, "is to hit your pecs just enough so you can recover in time for your next workout." The sweet spot is a total of 5 sets with a compound movement. (You can also consider adding a finisher after each workout such as a few sets of cable crossovers, pec deck, pushups, wide-grip dips, or racked kettlebell carries to failure—more on those in the slides that follow.) Perry suggests aiming for 5x12 reps of a compound chest move—like a bench press variation—first when you're adding them to a full-body routine (you may only get to five reps on the last set which is fine); if you're trying to build a bigger chest, you want to hit these muscles when you're fresh to see the fastest results and biggest impact.

9 Tricks to Gain Mass Without Getting Fat

We know—this is the advice you always hear and never want to take. But hear us out: Even if you ingest the proper post-workout protein , hitting happy hour after the gym hampers your muscle protein synthesis—how much muscle is being built to repair exercise damage—according to a 2014 study in PLos ONE . Then there’s the fact that it'll take you longer to get back at it (not even including the hangover), as recovery from delayed-onset muscle soreness is slowed by booze, says a 2012 New Zealand study . To top it off: “Since men are prone to store fat around the gut and near major organs, and alcohol consumption is also associated with increased fat storage in this area, it’s wise for them to lay off the booze when trying to see progress,” says Franci Cohen , personal trainer, certified nutritionist, exercise physiologist, and founder of Fuel Fitness in Brooklyn.

25 Best High Protein Egg Recipes for All-Day Breakfast

Now, it’s time to get out of the habit of tossing the golden yolk! Besides being a nice source of protein, the yolk contains heart-healthy fat, including omega-3 fatty acids. The yolk also contains lutein, along with choline and selenium. Lutein helps maintain the skin’s elasticity and hydration, plus it’s been shown to help prevent plaque build-up in your arteries. If you’re worried about saturated fat, check out the numbers. With about 1.6 grams of saturated fat per large egg, that’s 8% of the recommended daily maximum. In short, no worries—eat up!

Pre-Game Smart: What To Eat Before You Drink

Summer's not over yet, and there's still plenty of time to get in a fun night out. Before you order that pitcher of margaritas or line up those tequila shots, there are a few things you need to do to ensure you actually make it to work tomorrow (and can function on a relatively human level.) That's right, it's all fun and games until you wake up the next day dehydrated and cranky, wishing you had opted out of that last cerveza (or four.)

Ab-Solutions

Let's face it, ab training can be boring. The range of motion is short, many exercises are similar, and workouts frequently focus on high-rep, low-intensity sets. B-o-r-i-n-g. What’s more, if the area is sheathed with body fat (or clothes), no one is going to see the results, no matter how many crunches you do. For these reasons, abs are too often neglected—even by professional bodybuilders. We have a solution. In fact, we have 10. When at their peaks, each of the following physique legends—from those who first competed more than five decades ago to those who are still winning today—sported a superb set of rectus abs and obliques. This isn’t exactly an “all-time 10 best” list. A person or two here might surprise you. The following “middle men” were selected not only for their ab excellence but also for the diversity of their routines. Together, they provide 10 waist workout strategies. These range from marathons to sprints and encompass a wide spectrum of set and rep combinations, exercise choices, and workout frequencies. Get ready for some things old and some things new. These 10 legends prove there are many ab-solutions.

10 Best CrossFit Workouts for Weight Loss

A level-with-you fact: If you do CrossFit, you will almost certainly drop fat . “High-intensity interval training, common to CrossFit, is very effective for weight loss ,” says Adam Sturm, CrossFit coach and owner of CrossFit Outbreak in Brooklyn, NY. “There is a prolonged calorie burn/metabolic effect after the workout is finished.” These 10 WODs, chosen by Sturm and Dan McCarthy, owner and coach at Brooklyn’s Crow Hill CrossFit , have that HIIT factor in spades to really pack a weight-loss punch (in conjunction with a healthy diet and sleep schedule, of course).

27
Is It Better to Wear Lifting Gloves or Chalk Your Hands?

Chalk helps absorb sweat and lessens the chances you’ll get blisters, he explains. “Gloves are less messy, but they don’t stop sweat from getting on your fingers,” which could make you lose your grip. Also, not having direct contact with the bar may give you less sensory awareness of what you’re doing. In other words, “It’s just not the same feeling.” Not to mention chalk looks badass, which can earn you your man-card in the eyes of some lifters.

The Three-A-Day Plan To Force Results

Strive for a minimum of eight hours of sleep at night, and try to get a couple naps during the day, one after each of the first two workouts. Right after each workout, have a shake that contains fast-acting whey protein and high-glycemic carbs, and then try to catch a 20-minute nap. Consider using a Chi machine while napping. It's a portable electrical device that features a padded ankle support that moves side to side. You just lay down on the floor, rest your ankles on the pads, use the remote to control the speed, and the machine will do the rest. I swear by these things.

Sculpt Stronger, Leaner Legs with Supersets

Here's one way to make leg day even better: Supersize it. “Reciprocal supersets increase training density, allowing you to pack more volume into less time. This not only makes your workout more efficient, it also means you’re increasing training volume within a given session, which can enhance muscle development,” explains Brad Schoenfeld, Ph.D., C.S.C.S, an assistant professor of exercise science at Lehman College in the Bronx, N.Y. The concept is fairly simple: Work one muscle group (agonist) while the opposing one (antagonist) rests, then switch the order. For legs, this may mean focusing on quads for one move (with squats or a leg press), followed promptly by a hamstring-centric move like a deadlift or ball curl. “Studies indicate that by contracting an agonist muscle, you can actually increase force output during subsequent contractions of the antagonist,” adds Schoenfeld.
