Hany Rambod's Tips to Supp Like a Pro

My clients take a fat burner supplement with 16 ounces of water 15–20 minutes before cardio. The fat burner consists of caffeine to help with energy, one or two pepper extracts to increase core temperature, and an appetite suppressant. If you’re sensitive to stimulants, L-carnitine is a nonstimulant fat burner. Add 2 grams to increase effectiveness.

Pre by True GRIT at Bodybuilding.com - Best Prices on Pre!

Mixability: 10/10 True Grit Pre I find takes no effort at all to mix this product. I always used 3-4 oz of water with 1 scoop. Never had any issues with undissolved powders or clumps. Taste: 8/10 In this category no flaws with the flavor of True Grit's Fruit Punch. Now I'm not really a big fan of a fruit punch flavor but thought it was very smooth tasting to me and not overly sweet. Seeing as I like mixing all my pre's with less water some might think it would have a strong taste or maybe it would've been very sweet I felt it was neither. Effectiveness: 9/10 Now this pre is more on the lower side of stims with 1 scoop at 175mg of caffeine which still makes this pre effective. I typically use a more higher stim pre because I'm a stim junkie lol. But I definitely had no issues feeling this when it kicked in. Overall 9/10 Overall I really have nothing bad to say about True Grit Pre. It's a very solid quality product they have and I have no problems adding it in to my rotation. So if you are in the market for a good solid pre it's definitely worth checking out.

Human Growth Hormone: Everything You Need to Know About HGH

The body naturally produces growth hormone (HGH or simply GH) in the pituitary gland, and, as its name implies, it is responsible for cell growth and regeneration. Increasing muscle mass and bone density are impossible without GH, but it also plays a major role in maintaining the health of all human tissue, including that of the brain and other vital organs. When secreted, GH remains active in the bloodstream for only a few minutes, but this is enough time for the liver to convert it into growth factors, the most crucial of which is insulin-like growth factor-1, or IGF-1, which boasts a host of anabolic properties. Scientists began to harvest GH from the pituitary glands of cadavers in the 1950s, but didn’t synthesize the first HGH in laboratories until 1981, with its use as a performance-enhancing drug becoming popular shortly thereafter.

The Top 30 Muscle-Building Foods

Eggs have been vilified for years as artery-clogging foods. But further research into the role of dietary cholesterol and heart disease shows that for most people, the two are not linked. Eggs have since returned to the spotlight as a health food, especially for building serious muscle. The cholesterol found in eggs yolks serves at the scaffolding for steroid hormones, and the ½ a gram of leucine in each egg is like throwing gasoline on your muscle-building fire.

The Massive Muscle Bulk-Up: How to Gain 5 Pounds in 5 Weeks

"In short, it's the intensity and volume of your workouts, how often you’re training, how many sets you’re doing, in total, per body part, and whether you're getting sufficient protein quality and quantity," says Arent. We'll go into the nutrition specifics in a bit; but if you’re aiming for at least a gram of protein per pound of body weight, that’s a good place to start. Though, Arent notes, recent research says a little more protein might even be better. Rest and recovery is also a huge component. Give your muscles time to repair and give them the nutrients necessary to do that. Protein gives your body amino acids that repair, build, and maintain muscle; and carbs replenish your energy stores and get you ready for the next intense workout.

Ask Men’s Fitness: Is It Better to Do Full-Body Workouts or Body-Part Focused Routines?

Better for Building Mass "If you’re looking to build mass, I really see little benefit to constantly doing full-body workouts," Arent says. "Not to say it couldn’t work, but in terms of the volume you can accomplish and the ability to focus on certain muscle groups, I tend to prefer upper-lower body part splits." The upside is these focused workouts let you rotate your heavy versus light days more consistently; you don't want every day to be heavy and/or hard. That’s important for progression and it’s part of the periodization model .

Best Post-Workout Foods

Rule of thumb “It all comes down to the carbohydrates and protein,” sums up Villacorta. “They’re the two key things your body needs—and right after you work out is when your blood circulates best.” If you’re main goal is to build muscle, eat at least 30 grams of protein and 30 to 35 grams of carbs within 15 minutes of your workout. If you’re just trying to stay in shape or shed a few pounds, you can take your time and eat within 45 minutes or an hour after your workout.

Can You Actually Break Your Penis?

When your penis is erect, it's engorged with blood. But if it's bent suddenly or forcefully, typically during sex, that force can cause a fracture. Now, fractures are usually synonymous with bones. And even though your penis can get a boner, there aren't any bones in it. When you fracture your penis, you actually tear the deeper tissue. "There are two cylinders of sponge-like tissue in your penis called the corporal body—that’s what fills up with blood to give you an erection," Christine says. "There’s a layer of pretty tough tissue that surrounds the corporal body and that layer is called the tunic, which is what gets ruptured during vigorous intercourse," he adds.

Retro Athlete: Charles Clairmonte

He had one of the most proportional physiques of the era, including a chiseled slab of abs, and yet at six feet and a lean 245, he had enough mass to hang with goliaths in the early ’90s. As that decade progressed and size standards grew, he bowed out rather than try to pack on many more pounds. Clairmonte’s pro career lasted a mere six years, but, with his four wins in the Fall of 1993, those years included one of the most stunning months of all time.

8 Great Foods to Eat Before and After Your Workout

Before you hit the ground running, fueling your body will be the foundation to any successful workout. It’s any lifter’s worst session when they hit the wall – glycogen stores depleted and muscles starved for nutrients. To be on top of your lifting game, you have to feed your body with the right foods both pre – and post-workout.

Big Ramy's Planet-Size Pipes

“We get the heavy lifting from pressing and pulling during chest and back workouts, “Alaqi tells the curious journalist. “So for arms, we don’t need to go as heavy and risk injury. We try to fill the arms with as much blood as we can.” That’s why you alternate biceps and triceps exercises. “I think this is better [than working biceps and triceps separately] because you fill the whole arm with blood,” Alaqi states. You tighten up your wrist straps, as a precautionary measure to fend off tendon strains. It’s time for work.

Squared Away

This one exercise being done in that fashion is a microcosm of Morel’s entire workout routine, which consists of six days on and one off. Each and every body part is worked twice per week, with shoulders hit every Tuesday and Friday. But what makes it even more interesting is that Morel will do a two-a-day split with back on those same days, doing shoulders in the morning on the former and the afternoon on the latter.

The 15 Best Pieces of Workout Equipment You’re Not Using

Atlas Stones are basically just big, heavy balls of concrete—and that’s why these staples of strongman training are so effective for building raw brute strength. Unlike barbells and dumbbells, stones and other awkward objects like kegs or barrels are difficult just to get your arms around, let alone manhandle around a gym. And if solid concrete isn’t really your style, you can always spring for an ultra-heavy medicine ball like the Dynamax Atlas or the Rage Fitness Soft Stone , which come in weights up to 250 lbs.

Bodybuilding and the Laws of Attraction

You bet your ass all that hard work at the gym pays off, but is that enough to truly be successful with the opposite sex? Let's face it, pretty much every guy and girl is attracted to a smokin' hot body, so most bodybuilders feel that their physique will do all the work for them, and when the opposite sex sees it in all its glory, that's all it will take to reel them in.

8 Worst Things You Can Do to Build a Bigger Back

Whether your goal is to be a 250 lb. freak or 185 lb. sculpture, all of us who lift want to develop a V-shaped back with enough bumps and lumps to match the Rocky Mountains. However, this is no easy task, as the musculature of the back is quite complex and often hard to feel while lifting. It’s quite common to hear fellow trainees complain that when they try and work their lats, they manifest a better pump in the forearms and biceps, which does little to stimulate back growth.

New 21's for Bigger Guns

Intensity doesn’t only mean lifting a maximum weight, it can also involve making every rep and every set count, and two ways to do that are to control the tempo of the rep and attack the muscle from different angles within the set. And, as always, we want to try and perform a full range of motion for each and every rep, which would define good quality form and engage the maximum number of muscle fibers.
