Look Strong, Lift Strong: Layne Norton's Legs And Arms Blast - Bodybuilding.com Video Description

Layne as always thank you for your wisdom and knowledge. I wanted to ask you if a range of 6-8 is always most optimal to ensure growth and strength gains when bodybuilding ? I typically do my squats in high volume reps with a pretty substantial amount of weight (i.e. 4-5 sets of 10-20 reps) but I don't feel I'm getting the growth that I should be and my strength fluctuates each week which can be discouraging. I'm going to incorporate this strategy and I wanted to ask your guidance on what would be the best way of going about warming up to my working sets of 4x6 for my heavy compound lift? Thank you in advance.
