Man Who Lost 160 Pounds Reveals His Full Fitness Plan

Adam Park always felt left out because of his weight. "I couldn't go on roller coasters, swim, ski, or snowboard," he remembers. "By my teen years, I didn't really have any friends. I was never bullied, but I still felt left out because my weight kept me from participating in most of the things kids my age were doing. I was shy, and having to hang back because of my weight added to that. It was very lonely."

Top 5 Shoulder Training Mistakes

All delt heads do not work equally, and the one that typically carries the heaviest load is the anterior. Your front delts are not only primary movers during overhead presses, they’re also secondary movers during chest and triceps workouts, helping during presses and dips. If you’re doing front  raises in addition to a lot of shoulder, chest and tri compound lifts, you’re likely overworking your front delts. This is especially true if you train chest and shoulders in the same workout or on consecutive days.

The 500 Rep Shoulder Workout | T Nation

Use a rope for this hybrid movement, which is part upright row, part face-pull. The entire shoulder complex is going to get hit here. Instead of standing upright, lean back a bit and use the weight stack as a counter balance. With the rope at the lowest point on the pulley, you'll then pull up to your face and chin area as you pull your hands apart.

11 Reasons Why You Can't Lose Your Back Fat

Everyone has their trouble areas. I often work with clients that have trouble shedding stubborn back fat . It can be frustrating, especially since you can’t spot reduce. The appearance of back fat most commonly results from a combination of several things including atrophy of the muscles of the back and excess body fat. Atrophy of the back muscles basically means that they have lost their strength and muscle tone. The main causes of muscle atrophy include poor nutrition and a lack of targeted exercise (resistance training). Poor nutrition and a lack of exercise are also related to excess body fat, the second contributor to back fat. The combination of both of these contribute to excess fat tissue accumulation around the back and promotes the appearance of back flab around your upper and lower back as well as around your sides. The flab around your lower back and sides greatly contribute to the appearance of 'muffin top'. The good news is, you can get rid of the excess fat. Rather than just focusing on calorie burning, you’re going to have to construct a focused plan that avoids these things.

15 Cheap Muscle-Building Foods That Aren't Chicken

If you’re trying to build muscle, you’ve surely been told that you should load up on chicken—and with good reason; each serving of chicken breast has about 28 grams of protein. But it’s certainly not your only option if you’re trying to supplement all of the hard work you do at the gym by stocking your kitchen properly. We consulted with several experts to get their best suggestions for other foods that help you bulk up—without draining your wallet.

We hate sounding like your mother, but do you ever wonder why we always tell you to wrap your hands around the bar, including your thumb? How about why your feet should be pointing straight ahead? Build Muscle and Get Lean with the Right Breakfast

The protein-only and fasting groups displayed significant increases in growth hormone, whereas the protein-plus-carbohydrate individuals showed no changes. Growth hormone is an essential part of your muscle-building goals, as it helps to spare amino acids in the body. Also, cortisol— your stress hormone—was lowered the most in the protein-only breakfast. So why include the MCTs? Medium-chain triglycerides are easily absorbed fats that, unlike normal triglycerides, can be used immediately for energy. Studies on MCT usage have shown increases in growth hormone, more fat being used for energy, and an increase in metabolism . Having some fat at breakfast may also shift the body toward using more fat as fuel during the course of the day.

Sagittarius Horoscope for Sunday, September 18, 2016

Sunday, September 18, 2016 - You might be party to a bit of excitement today as flirtatious Venus opposes a wild Moon-Uranus conjunction in your 5th House of Love and Creativity. Fortunately, your vitality is high, yet your patience is low while macho Mars is in your extroverted sign. But it's difficult to say what you mean without being misunderstood now that mischievous Mercury is retrograde. Although all signals are flashing green and you see yourself as the overconfident hare, you'll be more successful if you act like the slow-moving but obstinate tortoise.

Building big traps is a necessity for a symmetrically sculpted upper torso, and most guys usually give these muscles attention at the end of their shoulder workout . 25 Foods You Shouldn't Eat

Right now, you probably have about 17 cans of soup stacked in your pantry or cupboards from the last time they were on sale for $.99. Yes, they’re cheap. Yes, they’re convenient. Yes, practically a monkey can open and cook them. But, no, you shouldn’t be eating canned soup on the regular. The infinite shelf life should be your first clue that it’s terrible for you, and has enough sodium to sky-rocket your blood pressure. Most are so processed, nearly all of the nutrients and health benefits have been zapped out.
